NO HUNGER SUMMER: FREE MEALS FOR KIDS: Where: Copeland Baptist Church- 2009 Walnut St. (behind Casey's on So. 22nd St.) When: June 17th - August 9th 11:30a-1:00p Monday-Friday Every weekday, kids across No Hunger Summer cafe sites receive a nutritious lunch in a positive, encouraging environment at no charge. With the help of volunteers and community organizations we are able to continue to grow this program. Because summer should be a fun time, and not a time for hunger. Read more to participate or get involved. At Second Harvest Community Food Bank, we know that summer break takes away the opportunity for kids that receive free or reduced-price lunches to have access to nutritious foods. The No Hunger Summer feeding program provides free lunches to children 18 and under five days a week during the summer. Adults can join them for just $2.00 Get involved with No Hunger Summer, and find out more about the food that’s in when school is out!

Some of it will change as next week goes, but Today, Saturday and Sunday are mostly set. If you have anyone who can volunteer in any capacity start a list and contact numbers with them. I will be getting information out as we go on where and how they can help. -Need Mud Out Team members (Trained and Untrained) -The DR team (Base Camp) will need people to do laundry, cook, and clean. -Need Funds to purchase safety suits, water, and any supplies for DR Teams Areas of this recovery will take TIME!! Attention St Joseph community if you want to help with the flooding that's going on around us then please donate post cleaning supplies and water. So far there are several drop off points and they are Journey Baptist - Monday thru Thursday from 9 - 3 and Copeland Baptist - Monday thru Thursday from 9 - 2 and from 9 - 12:30 on Friday. Also, CRR @ 3306 Mitchell - Monday- Friday - 8:30 - 4pm. With the levee breach a lot of your donations will go to help very close to home. Our hearts hurt for those who have been directly impacted by flood waters. There will be hopelessness, depression and unbelievable stress when people see their homes again for the first time after being flooded! Let’s help ease the burden. God bless and be with those going through this. Let's make a difference together.
